Great teams: World-class collaboration
Why do some groups and teams just seem to work, while others do not (sometimes painfully so)? Have you ever been part of a great team? Remember the sense of flow and excitement, and how anything seemed possible? What did you actually do -- and not do -- to make it happen?
Great teams don't happen very often, in our experience. We at FT believe they should -- and can -- happen much more often. In fact, we think any team's performance can be dramatically improved, and that high-functioning collaboration can be the minimum standard for most teams.
The key to great teams is effective collaboration, and the key to effective collaboration is highly competent communication. We help teams and groups, of all sizes and types, develop their underlying communication competence and apply it to understanding what's working in their collaboration (so they can reapply it), as well as what's not working (so they can change it).
